Education

At Wightman, design for education is all about people.

Well-designed, student-focused schools and learning environments are critical to the success of the communities we serve. The Wightman & Associates team understands how important the design process is to help you meet the unique challenges and opportunities your school system or institution faces. Our purpose is to create the best environments possible suited to your unique needs, budget, and schedule which promote student development and learning.

To develop a custom, real-world solution that puts student achievement first, we begin with the Design Thinking process. We listen to your ideas and expectations, and marry your goals with our nationally recognized K-12 and higher education design experience to create student-centered environments.

Central to our philosophy of education facility design are comfortable, functional spaces where students and educators are free to focus on teaching and learning.

We use the latest research-based design techniques to increase efficiency, reduce operating costs, and promote environmentally conscious design. Through the optimization of acoustics, lighting, air quality and thermal comfort, buildings and classrooms are designed to reduce stress and distractions, while promoting health, safety, and reduced operating costs.

All of this contributes to the success of students, teachers, school systems, and communities – today and well into the future.
